About Us
The Economic Development Corporation of Jefferson County (EDC) is the top professional business assistance organization in Jefferson County. The EDC is a not-for-profit, public corporation providing a full range of services to help meet growing business’ needs in the county. The EDC is the umbrella agency for the Industrial Development Authority (IDA), which issues Industrial Revenue Bonds (IRB), and the Jefferson County Port Authority. The EDC also serves as the contracted administrator for the Jefferson County Entitlement Programs.
We maintain a storehouse of information designed to help your business grow and expand. Staffed by trained professionals, the EDC stands ready to help meet your needs. The EDC cordinates with County & local officials, business leaders and an extended network of economic resources to meet your business needs.
